Employers attending power through partnership event

London South East Colleges was proud to host the recent Power of Partnership Employer Celebration event, bringing together educators, employers, and civic leaders to celebrate and strengthen collaboration in support of skills development and workforce readiness.

The event featured a series of presentations and discussions, including a keynote talk on the role of artificial intelligence in recruitment by Billy Smith, and a panel on inclusive hiring practices led by the Greater London Authority. The Education and Training Foundation also discussed perspectives on the importance of dual professionals and the growing impact of T-Levels in preparing students for the world of work.

Amin, Senior Policy and Projects Officer at the GLA’s Workforce Integration Network, spoke on the importance of equality, diversity, and the role of green skills in London’s growth; the event was also supported by the Mayor’s Green Skills Academy for Local London, which continues to champion sustainable workforce development.

Throughout the afternoon, guests were also introduced to the LASER Education Foundation Scholarship Scheme, designed to support young people into employment through meaningful employer engagement. 

The event concluded with a celebration of achievements and a series of awards for employers who have collaborated consistently throughout the last year.
